Welcome + Tips

Welcome to AnaesthesiaCases.com.au a website which aims to provide a resource for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for anaesthetists. It has been developed by a group of Melbourne based anaesthetists. The site includes a range of materials including  examples and discussions on how anaesthetists approach a variety of clinical and non-clinical situations. The site also has links to other web-based resources.

AnaesthesiaCases.com.au is a work in progress. It is planned to progressively increase all segments of the site over time and to continue updating the site with your comments and suggestions to give a picture of current practice in our specialty.

Sponsorship is welcomed from the Healthcare Industry. (Establishing and maintaining an active website involves significant costs). Sponsors are requested to make their contributions as informative as possible with an emphasis on education rather than promotion. Sponsored sections of the site will be clearly labelled. Pseudonyms
Contributors are asked to select a pseudonym (made up name) rather than their actual name. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly this is likely to encourage contribution. Secondly it removes the possibility of misuse of another person's name (and any possible legal problems associated with that).

AnaesthesiaCases requests that pseudonyms do not resemble usual first names or surnames. If the name you submit with your contribution does not conform to these guidelines we will contact you requesting an alternative name.
